Currently, our main actions are aimed at supporting pregnant women and combating child malnutrition in Haiti, in addition to offering support to Brazilian children with Epidermolysis Bullosa.
Events help us boost our social work!
Community Assistance is a continuous practice of our volunteers. We do this by hosting events and activities for the benefit of our communities. Helping immigrants who have recently arrived in our city and assisting people with special needs are two examples of social actions the Holding Hands Volunteers take.

The scope of this dinner was to raise funds to ship a container filled with a number of different products to the São Francisco de Assis Mission, in Haiti! The event was fantastic! According to information from the venue, our event had the largest number of participants in the entire history of Camilas Lounge!

This Dinner benefited a member from our community diagnosed with breast cancer! People from different faiths hosted this event together. The greatest gift of this event was to witness that “love and solidarity” always go hand in hand with “the wisdom of knowing how to live with our differences and religious positions!”

My name is Alessandra Esteves, president of Butterfly Children Inc, created since 2015. I met Roosevelt from Holding Hands a few years ago through the bone marrow transplant initiative program. They also help many non-profit organizations in Brazil with medical dressings and medicated cream to care for patients with epidermolysis bullosa. They also help children in Haiti. They are doing a great job everywhere. It's a pleasure to meet you, albeit virtually.
My name is Marcia Soares, I founded Hopebutterfly Inc located in the State of Connecticut, USA in 2018. Our partnership with Holding Hands was born out of compassion and empathy for children who suffer from a genetic skin disease, very rare and without a cure so far. , called Epidermolysis Bullosa. This joint work is watered with a lot of love and affection, as it brings relief, joy and provides a better quality of life through the sending of special dressings and specific and expensive medicines. Holding Hands also has other aspects of charitable hands that also do a beautiful job of humanitarian relief in Haiti and homeless people in Florida USA. They teach and encourage charity and spread and multiply that love in Everything they touch. Thank you for bringing Light and hope to those most in need!
I'm Aline Teixeira da Silva, president and founder of the NGO Jardim das Borboletas, a non-profit association that was founded with the aim of bringing a better quality of life to people with Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare, non-communicable and incurable genetic disease. We currently serve 102 patients with EB in 20 Brazilian states plus the Federal District. Today, I would like to highlight the excellent work carried out by the Holding Hands Foundation, which since 2016 has become our partner for the benefit of children with Epidermolysis Bullosa. Holding is a foundation based in the United States whose main focus is the fight against child malnutrition in Haiti and EB. It is important to emphasize that dressings (the main donation sent by the Holding Hands Foundation) are of paramount importance to increase the quality and life expectancy of all patients, in addition to minimizing pain and discomfort.
What can I say about the incredible and more than human work done by the Holding Hands foundation? I learn every day from amazing people who feel the pain of others, who make themselves available in every way so that help gets there, knowing that dozens of smiles await those boxes filled with love and hope... It's an honor to be partners ! It is a gift from God in my life and in the lives of the families of the NGO Luz de Sophia. I hope one day to be able to be in a humanitarian action with you, my friends and brothers, who teach us every day to be better with our neighbors, making us feel the love of God in every detail.
